This beautiful mini kit is just a small taste of Turkey.  By combining an authentic Turkish hand painted ceramic dish with Turkish Baharat, you can transport the flavors of even everyday burgers to the exotic Ottoman Empire.

This Turkish spice in the set is called baharat, which literally means “flowers and seeds” but is loosely translates to “herbs and spices.”   A mix of many spices, baharat is perfect to use both while cooking and sprinkled on food just prior to eating similar to salt and pepper in the USA.  Unlike other Middle Eastern baharat, the Turkish version always includes mint.

The dish measures 3" x 1".  Hand painted in the province of Kutahya with food safe mineral based paints.  Each one is unique, design colors may vary slightly from image.  Hand wash only.

Included in the Mini Kit is historic and cultural information about the spice, the dish and the destination.  There are also suggestions on how to use the spice mixture.  The Baharat spice mix includes: cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin, coriander, mint, oregano, black pepper, bay leaves, fennel, cloves, and mustard.
