Creole Style Jambalaya
The One Pot Wonder
Jambalaya, a mixture of rice, vegetables and meat, has a wonderfully mysterious history. Even the name is something many can not agree where it originates from. With traits from many cultures including French, German, Spanish, African and even American Indian the only thing for certain is, Jambalaya is a one pot wonder that everyone loves! Our version of Jambalaya is Creole style meaning it uses fresh tomatoes which give it a sophisticated taste and beautiful rich color.
Serves 6 – 8 adults (at least!)
Kit includes: Long grain rice, paprika, ground fennel seed, sage, cayenne 40 heat (mild), cayenne 60 heat (medium),mustard powder, ground cumin, thyme, oregano, black pepper, salt, Savory Creations Chicken Broth, shopping list for fresh items, preparation instructions, table setting suggestions and ‘Tea & Trivia’ to enjoy after your meal.
Fresh ingredients you will need: bell peppers, an onion, tomatoes, celery, parsley and as many of the following as you would like: chicken, sausage, ham, shrimp.
