This dish is very much like a Lebanese meat loaf and therefore can be stored in the same way. If you are cooking for just a few, you can mix the ingredients and split the meat into two portions, cook one and freeze the other before cooking (as long as you start with fresh meat) or you can cook the entire dish and then freeze the portion you don't use. If you store the uncooked portion, expect the cooking process to take about 1 to 1.5 times as long to cook.
Pre Measured Ingredients for the Kibbeh lamb recipe: fine bulgur wheat, pine nuts, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, sumac, allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves, fenugreek, ground ginger., preparation instructions, shopping list, table setting suggestions and Tea & Trivia to enjoy with guests over dinner.
Fresh ingredients you will need: ground lamb*, an onion, fresh mint, and pita bread. For accompanying sauces you will need: yogurt, garlic, a tomato, a cucumber and some lemon juice.
*Although lamb is called for in this kit, it can be substituted or augmented with ground beef or ground chicken.

We really enjoyed this Destination Dinner. It was easy to find the lamb the other fresh ingredients we needed. The recipe was easy to following including the instructions to make the traditional "star" on top of the Kibbeh. The spices made the Kibbeh delicious, not too much, not too little. The suggestions for the cucumber and tomato salad and the yogurt sauce were also simple to follow. We enjoyed reading the information and trivia on Lebanon while we cooked. We were delighted to have leftovers that we can eat for a couple of days. We will definitely be making this again.

My friends and I had a ball with this kit. The recipe was easy to make and tasted great. We added hummus, olives and tabouleh as suggested. We had baklavah for dessert. The kit also includes a very nice tea with cinnamon. We've already planned our next dinner!
