Garam masala is a mixture of spices that literally warm the body from within. Common throughout India and the surrounding areas, this Bangaldesh variation contains a number of spices that are not just tasty but also beneficial to your health. The mixed vegetables are enhanced with panch phoran, a Bengali mixture of five spices, and served with piping hot basmati rice to complete the dinner. The spices in this dish are also some of the very healthiest for your body and mind.
Serves 4 to 6 adults
This dish can not easily be made for just a few. Our recommendation is to make the entire dish as per the recipe and store the leftovers in the refrigerator. (Second day chicken garam masala is AMAZING!)
Pre-measured ingredients included in the Kit: cardamom, cinnamon stick, ground chili, turmeric, cumin, cloves, panch phoran, dried chilies, bay leaves, basmati rice, preparation instructions, shopping list, table setting suggestions and Tea & Trivia.
Fresh ingredients you will need: chicken, garlic, ginger, an onion, cauliflower, green peas and a squirt of ketchup.
This dish is unofficially Kosher and meets gluten free dietary needs.

I love destination dinner, each one is like a gift! I was surprised by the number of spices added to the chicken. It was pretty potent! We liked it, but it wasn't our favorite. We look forward to trying out next one!

This is the second dinner we ordered, and after a GREAT first impression..we were a little let down. There were so many spices, but there wasn't much flavor. Also, the recipe called for spices that were not provided (or listed in the ingredients.) We were a little let down. But we'll give it another chance!

Our two-year-old LOVED the Chicken Garam Masala. He couldn't get enough. And from the trivia we learned how healthy it was for us all. Destination Dinners is a great idea!
